Carved Badgers

Reece Ingram studied Sculpture at Brighton College of Art in 1985 and was commissioned by American Express to create “Out of the Woods” the 25ft long badgers sculpture carved from the fallen Cedar of Lebanon tree planted in the 1820s by the Earl of Chichester.

The tree fell in the 1989 storm. Ingram’s badger sculpture took 8 months to create and was intended not only to be looked at, but also climbed upon.
