Stanmer Rural Museum
The museum is awaiting new premises after having to move out of the previous location. In the interim we are running temporary displays in various locations. The Stanmer Rural Museum includes an amazing variety of rural artefacts, with a reconstructed blacksmith's forge, one of the last remaining horse traves and all sorts of agricultural working and craft equipment. There is also the donkey wheel house by the church, where water was drawn to supply the village.
Location: Awaiting a new home: contact us if you want to help.
